Clinical Communications and Leadership raises these and other growth-inducing questions, and holds you accountable for addressing them. We challenge you to ask yourself: What concrete steps can I take to take my practice to the next level? 

Initiating and sustaining positive change in ourselves is not easy work; encouraging and supporting change in another is even more challenging. Successful, long-term professional relationships are built on understanding your client's priorities, values, and budget.  

This is why we encourage you to explore and realize your clients’ points of view and unique needs.  We walk you through how to collect invaluable data by asking your client base key questions about the quality of your services, facilities, and communication skills. 

To make a lasting difference, you also need the imagination to envision what is possible; the practical skills and tools to make that vision a reality; a roadmap for how to make the necessary changes to achieve that realized vision; and the ability to anticipate, withstand, and adapt to the process of change.  

This live, interactive program is strategically driven, yet tactically grounded in perennial theories and practices. It will help you to define the parameters of success; plan and manage the process of positive change; and grow your business in a way that is healthy, stable, and ongoing. Our approach to teaching is not just intellectual but experiential, incorporating new ideas and techniques into proven philosophies and methodologies.  

We examine complementary interdisciplinary concepts, practice strategic communication and leadership/management skills, and establish a clear blueprint for local clinical leadership.  We help you master the art of deliberate communication and active listening—an approach that builds trust and fosters productive, long-term collaboration. We cover the psychology of effective presentations and discuss current issues of concern, such as how to prevent/recover from clinician burnout. 

Be challenged and inspired. Learn how to expand and refine your work with clients and client-groups.  Gain leadership skills and build confidence in your capacity to implement comprehensive client-centered treatment plans and lead successful groups, including health-oriented retreats, practitioner-client workshops, and online courses and seminars. 

Our systematic and integrated approach to training combines in-person and recorded/online classwork and select print or audio/visual resources. We offer social media meetups as well as in-person open houses and one on-one-conversations.    

The program’s 60-minute Live Interactive Classes are held three times per month in the evening, and participants may attend online or via conference call.  We also record and post each class online for your convenience (although the best results are derived from active participation in real time). We require a commitment from everyone to remaining fully engaged throughout the training program.  

Our diverse ‘student body’ includes seasoned clinicians of all types across the healthcare disciplines, including dental, medical, mental health, and integrative health/wellness practitioners, as well as healthcare attorneys and researchers.  

Many of our students are healthcare professionals seeking to build co-diagnostic relationships—that is, a mode of practitioner-patient interaction in which the client/patient is fully invested in his or her own health and is an active participant in the clinical experience, not just a passive recipient.   

In addition to our online clinical communications, online professional connections, and collaborative approach to coaching, Metro Collaborative offers participants access to our unique year-round program of clinician leadership retreats, as well as restorative weekend programs for clinical practice partners, staff, and patients.    

Originally designed for Metro Collaborative members only, the Clinical Communications and Leadership program now includes members of the Practice Success community. This training is open to veterans and novices in their professions, alike.
