At the Hindin Center, Dr. Meyer practices family dentistry with a focus on pediatric care. She is one of only a few dentists locally working in the emerging field of pediatric dentistry called Orthotropics, (or Facial Growth Guidance). This uses a method called BioBloc therapy to redirect growth of the lower face in a more ideal direction, converting “unfavorable” vertical growth into “favorable” horizontal growth which is healthier for the child.
Dr. Meyer is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, International Association of Orthodontics, American Academy of Gnathalogical Orthopedics, and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. She is also involved in numerous community organizations and activities, including The Health and Wellness Committee for the Nyack School District, PTA, Inspire Foundation, and has performed voluntary dental screenings in some of Rockland County’s elementary schools and nursing homes.
