Robin G. Schlenger is a New York Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who uses drama therapy and psychodrama techniques.  She is also the co-founder of C and R Professional Development Services whose mission is to help groups and organizations build and create authentic, empowered, equitable relationship across culture and race.

One of her unique methodologies is to incorporate psychodrama and drama therapy, thus, giving clients multiple options of expression to enable growth and expansion in ways that surprise them.

Robin understands that not everyone responds well to traditional talk therapy. Buoyed by her passion in helping people, she creates an environment of collaboration and partnership in fostering an authentic and trusting relationships, which are the key to growth and development. One of her unique methodologies is incorporating psychodrama and drama therapy, which provide clients multiple options of expression to enable growth and expansion in ways that surprise them.

After attending an Undoing Racism Workshop by the People’s Institute of Survival and Beyond, Robin became passionate about dismantling racism. Understanding that this work is an ongoing process, she continues to develop her own anti-racist lens while offering supervision and support to other clinicians, clients, and organizations that want to foster anti-oppressive practices in their own lives and work.

Robin worked in hospitals, schools, counseling centers and private practice with adolescents and adults, in individual and group therapy. Her professional tenure includes working as Clinical Director for Counseling in Schools (CIS) supervising social workers, creative art therapists, and licensed mental health counselors within the NYC school system. During her tenure, she developed, created, and facilitated training, workshops, and small group learning experiences for CIS staff and other organizations.

Robin received her Masters in Social Work from New York University and Post Masters certificate in Clinical Practice with Adolescents.
