"My goal is to not merely treat illness, but to achieve optimal wellness for all whom I am privileged to serve."

Seth Madel has been practicing psychiatry for almost 20 years and has worked with clients spanning the entire spectrum of mental illness and substance use. He has vast experience in mood and anxiety disorders, with particular expertise in borderline personality disorder. In his group practice, they have shifted the paradigm away from the traditional medical model of mental health treatment. They provide a holistic model of care that considers the entire person -- body, mind, spirit, and emotions. Rather than viewing mental health services solely as the treatment of mental illness, they emphasize a comprehensive approach to prevention, and physical, as well as mental well-being. He does not believe that medication is the only treatment his clients should consider, and he is currently taking his career to the next level as an integrative psychiatrist. Integrative psychiatry is a form of personalized medicine that attempts to achieve long-term wellness by treating root causes. It uses laboratory analysis to evaluate and treat underlying contributing issues which may include nutritional deficiencies, food allergies, infections, toxicities, and genetic disorders. He enjoys working very closely with medical providers, as well as psychotherapists and practitioners of other healing modalities such as nutrition, yoga, acupuncture, and reiki. By taking an eclectic approach, he is able to devise a treatment plan unique to every individual and achieve the best possible outcome.
