Shortly after the birth of my daughter, my 3-year-old son fell into a funk. Nothing unusual for a new older brother, it would seem. As he began to lose his speech, his curiosity about the world around him and his coordination, it began to worry us. One day, after stumbling yet again, he picked himself up and turned to me, “What’s wrong with me, mom?”
“I don’t know.” I told him.
Turns out he had mercury poisoning. I had little hope, and little to lose, when I turned to chelation therapy and homeopathy.
Chelation brought instant results – his speech returned overnight and he sang again after a month. Homeopathy brought lasting changes. His focus improved. He was no longer climbing the walls. Amazingly, his personality changed. He was no longer the boy who terrorized others at the playground.
He became himself – a gentle, thoughtful kid. Friends who had not seen him for while remarked that he is “a different person.”
I began my homeopathy studies when I saw what it did for my son. Since then, I have seen amazing results in my family and clients. Homeopathy changed our lives.
I have made it my life’s work is to help others find the unique health solution that can transform their lives. Homeopathy works with the body, not against it.
I have been there. I know what it’s like to live with a health problem. I know how difficult it is to watch a loved one suffer. I know what it feels like to be told “There is no cure.”
I bring to my practice the life experience and compassion of a mother, a wife, a child. I infuse it with the curiosity of a Sherlock Holmes who’s always seeking to connect the dots.
What's in a name?
Studio: from Italian, literally: study, from Latin studium diligence
The moment I stumbled upon the etymology of the word “studio” I knew I had to call my practice Homeopathy Studio. It is rooted in the depths of my heart: a diligent student.
It is more, though. “All creation is co-creation.” I do my best work in partnership. At any particular moment, I may be working one-on-one with you. Or studying with people around the globe. Yet many others are there in spirit, holding the space for that encounter. They give depth and breadth to my practice.
I confer regularly with colleagues. I am in a study group with my peers. I draw on the expertise of my mentors and teachers. I am instructed by clients.
And dare I say this? My grandfathers – a pharmacist and a pioneering entrepreneur – leave their mark in subtle ways.
I graduated from the New York School of Homeopathy and passed the CCH professional certification exam (Part I) a year later. I started practicing in my third year of study, under the supervision of the amazing homeopath and teacher Marina Braun.
I have had the privilege of studying with master homeopaths who trace their lineage to the Bombay School. I have benefited from teachers who are building on the work of the great European masters. I recently embarked on CEASE training to address the special needs of people on the spectrum.
In my previous career, I was a philosophy professor, with a PhD from Columbia University, NY and a BA and MA from Oxford University.
A very wise teacher once told me, “Your best teachers are going to be your clients.” So true! I learn from clients every day.
