Dr. Jacobs graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Indiana University in 1976, with a double major in Biology and Chemistry. Dr. Jacobs developed his interest in Dentistry early on. His father, Dr. Robert Jacobs was a general dentist, and his mentor. He earned his Dental Doctorate from Fairleigh Dickenson University in 1979. Dr. Jacobs continued his studies at the University of Pennsylvania where in 1981, he received his Certificate in Periodontics. Immediately after completing his post-graduate studies, Dr. Jacobs was appointed as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontology at the University of Pennsylvania. Concurrent with his teaching, Dr. Jacobs established his private practice in Philadelphia. Dr. Jacobs relocated to New York in 1985 where he has been practicing at his current location. His practice is focused on Periodontal Disease and its Systemic Relationship, Dental Implants, and Esthetic Periodontal Treatment. Dr. Jacobs is committed to Advanced Education and keeping up with the Science and Technology related to his practice. Not only does he take Continuing Education courses, he is a featured speaker at many academic meetings. In addition, he is the dental advisor for the largest medical website called, www.EverydayHealth.com and a recognized specialist with the Dr. John Kois Center in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Jacobs is also on the Board of Directors of the New York County Dental Society, where he serves on the Ethics, Finance, and Nominating Committees. Dr. Jacobs is married with two children and spends his free time with his family and friends, His hobbies include, exercise, reading, sports and Martial Arts.

Internationally Dr. Jacobs has lectured in various countries including Istanbul, Turkey and Athens, Greece. Nationally he has lectured at the annual meetings for the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of Restorative Dentistry, and the NY Academy of Dentistry.
