Dr. Hong was born and raised in Shanghai China. She attended the School of Health Science of Shanghai in 1976. She went on after graduation to the Shanghai University of Traditional Medicine from 1979 to 1984. Upon graduation, Dr. Hong worked as physician at the Long-Hua Traditional Chinese Medicine teaching hospital through 1988.
While at Long Hua Traditional Chinese Medicine Teaching Hospital, Dr. Hong performed various duties including: emergency room physician, ward physician, and clinical physician. Her broad spectrum of practice included daily practice of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and traditional chinese medicine geriatric clinical research. In addition, Dr. Hong served as supervisor for traditional chinese medicine medical school students in their senior year.
In 1992, Dr. Hong acquired her license to practice acupuncture in Maryland and soon after, established her clinic in Bethesda, Maryland. In 1999, she set up a second clinic in Falls Church, Virginia. She was also a part time teaching faculty at the Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 1995 to 2002. Dr. Hong currently resides between Maryland and Virginia where she tries her best to respond to the growing demand for quality acupuncture service in both alternative medicine communities.
Dr. Feifei Hong is married, has a son and two lovely dogs: a Cocker Spaniel-Poodle mix and a Chihuahua. She loves movies, exercise, practices Yoga and above all, lives a healthy lifestyle. Many of her patients are lifelong friends and will attest to her gentle personality, kind demeaner, and professionalism.
