I am the proud owner of a company that brings direction, trust and hope to our client’s lives and celebrates their successes.
As the managing director of IKOR of the Greater DC Area, she partners with professionals as well as loved ones in helping clients live independently and have attentive, family-like care for a dignified lifestyle. She works closely with the elderly and disabled in assessing their needs, developing a strategic plan, and assisting in helping them live an enriched, fulfilled, and independent life as possible. She lends compassion to the parents or caretakers, and help them through the challenges of short-term health crises, long-term care issues, and determines the right level of care their loved-ones need.
Her impressive background speaks of her credibility as a Certified Senior Advisor. As a military spouse of 32 years, Alice volunteered untold hours to develop the Family Readiness Support Group for 5th Group Special Forces and train Commanders and their representatives with the 101st Airborne at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. She has also worked as a substitute teacher at Department of Defense military schools at each command.
Alice holds three industry distinctions as a National Certified Guardian (NCG), Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), and Program Management Professional (PMP). In 1996, she was bestowed the Commander’s Award for Public Service, as well as being honored with a distinguished Service Award from the United States Army Special Operations Command.
Alice is an active member of the community serving as a volunteer guardian for the Arlington Court Appointed Guardians & Personal Advocate Program. She holds memberships in the National Guardianship Association and serves on their Membership Board and is a member of the McLean Estate Planning Council. She is a founding member of Planning for Senior Life (PSL), a community-focused advisory group made up of local professionals from product and service companies directly supporting those planning the transition into retirement for themselves or others.
Alice is a native of Arlington, Virginia and retired to the area with her family after moving around the United States as a military officer's wife. She received her Master of Education from Marymount University and her B.S. in Sociology from The American University. Alice has four children and 12 grandchildren, and she loves to spend as much time as possible with them, her dog Joseph, and relaxing out on the Chesapeake Bay.
Founded in 2013, IKOR is the largest healthcare and financial advocacy provider in the U.S. providing organizational, financial, legal, and medical advocacy for seniors, the disabled, and those with special needs.
